Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates. Continuing to use an unsecured system is not a good idea, especially if you use online banking or work for a business. We’ll upgrade your laptop to Windows 11 for €49, including updates, drivers and a check to ensure everything is working properly afterwards. If you combine this with an SSD or memory upgrade, the upgrade is free of charge.
Will my laptop run Windows 11?
Not every laptop is officially compatible. We’ll check it for you free of charge: just send us your make and model. There are three possible outcomes, and we’ll be honest with you about all three:
- Perfect: we’ll take care of the switch and you’ll be sorted for years to come.
- Suitable with a minor upgrade: for example, some extra memory.
- Not suitable: in that case, we advise against making the switch and will help you find a refurbished laptop that is Windows 11-compatible — all our laptops are by default. You can trade in your old laptop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my files and programmes remain on my computer?
Yes, with a standard migration, everything is retained. We do, however, always recommend that you make your own backup beforehand.
Can’t I just stick with Windows 10?
It’s possible, but without security updates you’ll become increasingly vulnerable to viruses and scams. We don’t recommend it for a laptop that you use for online banking, emailing or work.
