Is something not working properly? Just get in touch. We can sort out most problems remotely within five minutes, with a quick tip or the right setting. And if something’s actually broken? Then we’ll repair or replace it. You don’t need to bring up the terms and conditions with us; we’d rather find a solution that works.
Here is a summary of the warranty
- Laptops: at least a 1-year warranty; on HP EliteBooks, the warranty is even 3 years.
- Batteries: 1-year warranty covering at least 60 per cent of the original capacity.
- Peripheral equipment: 2 years’ warranty on new items, 1 year’s warranty on refurbished items.
- Repairs and upgrades: 1-year warranty on parts and labour.
- Speed: we aim to resolve the issue within 3 to 5 working days.
What is covered by the warranty?
Any hardware that breaks during normal use – such as the screen, motherboard, keyboard or internal components – as well as manufacturing or assembly faults. We always try to repair it first. If that isn’t possible, you’ll receive a replacement device of equivalent value. And if we can’t reach a solution together, you’re always entitled to a refund.
What is not covered?
It’s important to have realistic expectations, so this is not covered by the warranty:
- Damage caused by drops, knocks or moisture
- Software issues, viruses and incorrect settings (we’d be happy to help you with these via Repair & Upgrade)
- Normal wear and tear and minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect performance
- Up to 3 dead pixels (the international standard for displays)
- Damage caused by modifications carried out by the user, repairs carried out by third parties, or unauthorised chargers and batteries
- Consequential damage, such as the loss of files — so always make sure you have a backup yourself
Your legal rights
As well as our warranty, as a consumer you are covered by a statutory guarantee: a product must perform as you would reasonably expect it to, even after the warranty period has expired. Want to find out more? Check ConsuWijzer or the Consumentenbond. We believe in solutions, not arguments — so usually, a single message is all it takes to sort things out.
Even after the warranty has expired
If something breaks after the warranty period has ended, please let us know. We can often carry out an affordable repair, and if not, we’ll work with you to find a suitable alternative. We want our laptops to last as long as possible — that’s what we’re all about.
