Dell D6000 Universal Dock – one cable, maximum convenience

Do you work with multiple screens, but is your laptop or desktop holding you back? The Dell D6000 Docking Station is the ideal solution for anyone who wants to work smoothly with several QHD monitors, even on systems without a powerful graphics card.

This universal dock is one of the most compatible on the market – it works effortlessly with almost all modern laptops and desktops, whether you use Windows or Linux. Thanks to DisplayLink technology you connect up to two QHD screens (2560×1440 @ 60 Hz) via just a single cable. And good news: the dock works both via USB-Cand via USB-A (standard blue USB 3.0 port), so also on older systems or fixed PCs without a USB-C connection.

Installation is simple: connect the dock, install the free DisplayLink driver, and you’re ready to multitask at a professional level. Even if your system doesn’t have a powerful graphics card.

Key benefits:

  • Up to three external screens via USB-C (1× 4K + 2× QHD/Full HD)
  • Up to two QHD screens via USB-A
  • Gigabit Ethernet, audio output and four USB ports, including 1× USB-C
  • 65W USB-C charging for laptops (only via USB-C)
  • Fully plug & play, compatible with Windows and Linux
  • Also works via USB-A – ideal for desktops or older laptops

Note: USB-A doesn’t support charging laptops, and a maximum of two screens at once. For three screens and charging, the USB-C connection is required.

Comes with:

  • Docking station
  • Original charger

You’ll need a suitable DisplayPort or HDMI cable yourself, depending on your monitor. We’re happy to help you choose – feel free to get in touch.

Dell is an American brand that grew big on a simple idea: "build to order". Instead of building standard models for stock, from the 1980s and 90s Dell let customers choose the components they wanted: more memory, a larger hard drive, a better processor. That made the brand popular with companies and schools, because you could order exactly what you needed without overpaying for extras you didn't want.

You still see that philosophy today: Dell laptops are often functionally designed, modular in build and easy to maintain or upgrade. No frills or trendy colours, but solid business models built to last and easy to service.

In terms of design, Dell focuses strongly on business reliability and ergonomics: keyboards that are comfortable to type on, casings that can take a knock, and a wide choice of ports so the laptops fit well in an office environment. The Latitude series and the business XPS line in particular have built a reputation as "no-nonsense workhorses".

In short: where some brands emphasise design and lifestyle, Dell is known for its practical approach: laptops that do what they need to do, tailored to the user, and that you can rely on in a business or study setting.
