Need help with your choice?
Warranty. No Hassle.
- 30-day cooling-off period: Not satisfied? Money back.
- 1 to 3 years of warranty: On all the hardware of our laptops.
- Battery warranty: We guarantee at least 60% capacity.
- Fast repair: We aim to fix things within 3-5 working days.
You have the right to withdraw your order up to 30 days after receipt without giving any reason. After withdrawing, you have another 14 days to return the product. You then get the full order amount back, including any standard shipping costs. The cost of returning the product on withdrawal is at your own expense, unless the product arrived defective or was delivered incorrectly. We offset any return costs against the refund.
To exercise your right of withdrawal you can fill in the form. We process your request as quickly as possible, and within 14 days of receiving your return at the latest.
Please note: during the trial period you may inspect and assess the product as you would in a shop. If the product has been used more extensively, we may charge for a reduction in value. We’ll always make this known first and give you the chance to respond.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. No panic. Before we talk about formal warranty: we’re mainly here to help you. Many problems are solved within five minutes with a simple tip or the right setting. So you don’t need to wave terms and conditions at us straight away; we’d rather look for a solution that works.
What’s the difference?
Warranty: Something really is broken in the hardware (think of the motherboard, the screen or internal parts) under normal use. In that case we fix it for you, or we arrange a replacement device.
Service: You have a question about your laptop, a setting isn’t cooperating, or you’d like advice on an upgrade. We’re happy to think along with you, and often we can get you going again remotely right away. Pretty chill, right?

Installation, Repair & Bespoke work
Services and installations are always bespoke with us. To avoid confusion, we draw a clear distinction between the hardware (the physical laptop) and the services (the work we carry out for you).
- Hardware services: These concern physical work, such as repairing a defect or replacing parts (e.g. a battery upgrade or extra memory).
- Software services: This includes installing and configuring an operating system, delivering specific applications ‘turn-key’, or ‘de-Googling’ your system.
What does this mean for you? The agreed warranty period applies to hardware modifications. For software setup, we make every effort to deliver a perfectly working result. Because software can change through use and external updates, we offer support for it on a time-and-materials basis or at a pre-agreed service rate, unless agreed otherwise.
Our principles for commissioned work: Should a service or installation nevertheless fall short of expectations, we apply the following rules:
- Repair first: In the event of a shortcoming, our first obligation is to fix the fault free of charge.
- Limitation: Total liability is at all times limited to no more than the invoice amount of the assignment in question.
- Exclusion of consequential damage: We are never liable for indirect damage, such as loss of data, missed revenue or business disruption. So always keep a current backup of your data yourself.
- Legal limit: The above limitations naturally do not apply to damage caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of TopLaptop.
In all cases: we go for a solution that works, without the hassle.
The warranty applies to defects caused by normal use and not by damage or improper use. Examples of things that are covered:
- Hardware failures (such as the screen, motherboard, keyboard or internal parts)
- Factory or assembly faults
- Problems with accessories you received in a bundle with the laptop
If there’s a problem, we always try to solve it first with a repair or replacement. If that’s not possible, we offer an equivalent replacement product. You always have the right to dissolve the agreement and so get your money back. We make sure you’re always helped without the hassle.
There are situations where we can’t offer a warranty. For example:
- Damage from incorrect use – such as drops, knocks or water damage
- Screens: up to 3 dead pixels fall within the international standard for screens and are therefore outside the warranty.
- Software problems – including viruses, malware or incorrect settings
- Consequential damage – for example loss of files or data
- Your own modifications – such as overclocking or hardware modifications
- Improper repairs – damage after work by third parties or repairs you carried out yourself
- Use of non-original parts or accessories – such as unapproved chargers or batteries
- Extreme environmental influences – damage from moisture, heat, dust, smoke, corrosion or incorrect storage
- Power problems – damage from power surges, lightning strikes or incorrect mains voltage
- Use outside specifications – for example intensive server use of a laptop not intended for it
- Normal wear and tear – both cosmetic and internal, in line with use of the device
- Cosmetic imperfections – small scratches, dents or colour differences that don’t affect functioning
- Battery life – the stated battery life is an indication and may vary; the warranty only applies to deviations that don’t fall within normal wear
In addition to our own warranty, you as a consumer are entitled to a statutory warranty. That means a product must do what you can reasonably expect of it, even after the 12 months have passed.
Want to know more about your rights? See the explanations from these reliable sources:
- ConsuWijzer – explanation of statutory warranty

We believe in lasting solutions, not arguments. So you run into a problem? Get in touch — we’d rather think along with you than point at terms and conditions.
Even after the warranty: get in touch
Our formal warranty for consumers lasts at least 1 year, but that doesn’t mean you’re on your own afterwards. Does something break after that? Then we’re happy to look for a solution together. Think of an affordable repair, advice or finding a suitable alternative.
We want to prevent waste and think it’s important that our products last as long as possible and aren’t thrown away. Sustainability also means maintaining customer relationships, even when things get tricky.
