The battery is in top condition and, with normal use, easily lasts a working day. The new price was around €900, and there’s still about a year of manufacturer’s warranty left (without the original receipt).

HP (Hewlett-Packard) is one of the oldest and largest computer brands in the world. HP chose breadth: they offer a solution for every segment, from simple entry-level laptops to advanced business machines. That makes HP a brand you'll come across in almost any office, school or living room.
Their design philosophy is mainly about balance: ease of use, sturdiness and recognisable design that doesn't stand out for the wrong reasons. In the business lines such as the ProBook and EliteBook the emphasis is on reliability, security and compatibility with existing corporate IT. For consumer models HP pays more attention to looks and price awareness, so there's an HP for almost every budget.
One caveat is that HP used to bundle a lot of bloatware (extra pre-installed software) it earned money from via software suppliers. That caused frustration: starting a new laptop often meant a thorough clean-up first. Fortunately HP has partly stepped back from this in recent years, so modern Pavilion-series models contain less cluttered software and are ready to use faster.
The HP Pavilion series is HP's most popular consumer line and aims at anyone looking for an affordable laptop for everyday use: browsing, email, school assignments, word processing, streaming videos or light photo work. Pavilions are often a bit lighter and slimmer than business models, and available in a wide range of sizes and specifications.
Their strong point is mainly accessibility: you get plenty of choice in price and configuration, often with a good balance between performance and design. For anyone who doesn't run heavy programs daily, a Pavilion is often more than enough.
Do bear in mind the quality and finish: Pavilion models are less rugged than HP's business lines (such as ProBook and EliteBook) and therefore more prone to wear under intensive use. Older Pavilions were also known for bloatware (pre-installed software you had to remove yourself), although that has greatly diminished in recent years. Naturally, we deliver every Pavilion with a clean Windows 11 installation, nothing more and nothing less.
In short: the HP Pavilion line is an accessible choice for consumers looking for an affordable, versatile laptop for study, home or light work — but anyone wanting maximum durability is better off looking at HP's business models.
