A second life, not a second choice.

At TopLaptop we believe that truly sustainable business is something you do, not something you say. We give laptops, parts and accessories a full second life. No quick reselling, but carefully selected, professionally refurbished and often even better than they were when new.

For example, we replace standard hard drives with faster SSDs connected directly to the motherboard. We expand the memory to give the laptop a speed boost. We only replace batteries once they no longer meet our quality standards, because batteries are harder to recycle (though we’re happy to turn them into power banks that can still charge your phone just fine), and we also give customers the chance to upgrade screens and keyboards.

Less waste, more value

The idea is simple: why discard a device when, with a little care and parts from other devices, it can last for years?

Donor laptops that we carefully take apart for reusable parts
Repairs wherever possible, instead of replacing
Smart upgrades that make devices genuinely future-proof

Whatever no longer works is carefully recycled. And whatever is still good gets a second chance.
Laptop batteries whose cells are still good, for instance, are converted into power banks. Even the scissor mechanisms of individual keys are kept for reuse, or otherwise passed on to a supplier who puts them back into circulation.

Sustainable business, behind the scenes too

For us, sustainability doesn’t stop at the product. We try to work as ecologically as possible in our business processes too. Think of:

Energy-efficient testing and installation
Minimal packaging, as much reused cardboard as possible, and packaging that’s easy to recycle
As little waste of materials and time as possible
No unnecessary transport or air in boxes
We weigh up what gets extra protective packaging and how we do it
You won’t get a paper packing slip or invoice
